Door Softly Creeks

door softly cr eeee ks  on worn hinges
lub dub  heartbeat  races in anticipation
each craCKing step bringing you closer
rhythm of  shoes echoing in the hallway
earthly scents circulate winter's night air
slipping beside me, feeling your warmth
tickling my ear,  sweet gentle whispers
tracing outlines featherlight fingertips
trees whistling playing a catchy melody
holding hands, warm lips move together
listening to our bodies sway soft sighs

  1. First of all, that is quite some photo. It looks like the hands of two different people. I like the word play in the first few lines. Especially the craCKing step, which really shows it like it is. And the ending of the poem is ever so sensual. The warm lips, etc. -- beautifully penned.

  3. Don't need eyes to feel such heart strings taking flight, whether day or night, a little whisper in the ear and soft sighs will come near. Shoes in the hallway you say, you know I can't take them off at my bay lol

    2. Can't live without my eyes
      Scared of many goodbyes
      Of hearing too many lies
Don't want to focus on cries
      Coming from deep down inside
Without my eyes I just want to hide

  4. smiles...it is a gentle intimacy in your words...between the two...but also with the world...a contentedness in among everything....that kinda love i think gives a greater appreciation of the world around us as well...

  8. Two people within the one feel for each other. Touching makes the connection with no sights necessary for relief. Nicely Truedessa!

  14. It amazes me how all the senses come alive in this sensual piece, without the help of vision.
