Discovering Bouyancy

drowning
sea of desire
pockets of air bubbles
haunting dreams a mariner's song
drifting
~
inhale
floating weightless
cool deep waters of night
dreams of you rise to the surface
exhale
~
your words
lift me higher
whispering endearments
buoyancy keeps my dreams alive
i breathe

  8. As someone who can't swim, the first parts of this are actually pretty horrifying. Drowning. Drifting away. So I love the thought of someone's words bringing you back to the surface and keeping you afloat. Or... at least that's how I interpret it.

    1. Ah, I remember you saying you couldn't swim...I imagine the water would be a bit scary. No need to worry that is why they have life jackets :)

  9. It is nice to have those that keep us afloat when we are ready to give up our dreams. We all need encouragement along the way. Life is too heavy to try carrying it on our own. Of course it takes great humility as well to admit that we too need help.

    1. We all need someone to help lighten the weight that holds us down. Sometimes that is hard to do in the journey.
