Red Balloon, Carrying a Tune

 Sojourning
west I begin my quest
searching for a sanctuary of rest
songs beating within my breast
brightly colored balloons carry me
beyond tall peaks of evergreen trees
catching your scent in spring's breeze
bursting with joy
a time of renewal
love

Silent Good-bye, Spring Arrives

Truedessa's Collection

in silence the sound of good-bye
melting winter snow, spring arrives
listen for the willows soft cry
in silence the sound of good-bye
awakening, strong roots survive
stretching upward, towards the sky
in silence the sound of good-bye
melting winter snow, spring arrives

Swaths of Color to See

The Wave - Pierre-Auguste Renoir - Wikimedia

choppy white waves
swaths of rippling blue
splashes emerald green
nature swirls with life
scattered palette of light
mixing hues
carrying a poets dream
flaming angel fish
rainbow of energy
wishing on a star-fish
movement of the tide
entertaining my muse

trying my hand at impressionism
with words

Springboard to the Stars

springboard me among the stars
spiraling around in heavenly flight
sending earth, my fondest regards
passing through worlds of light
sprinkling stardust, healing scars
earthlings slumber, dreams of night
quietly slipping past portal guards
winged dragon, mysterious knight
slaying hearts in a cosmic courtyard

Tears to Giggles

Wikimedia commons

mourning doves sing a somber song
I wonder when does the sorrow end
I want to taste the bubbles of life
again

fill my flute with golden champagne
uncork fizzles of delight, let my spirit
once again sing in joyous giggles
of blossoming spring
